The problem: a damaged 4' x 4' x 3" oil cooler
The customer called us with a pressing problem at his mining site: a front end loader was mistakenly backed into a 4' x 4' x 3" oil cooler and severely damaged it.
The customer had already contacted another supplier and was told that the cooler couldn't be repaired and needed replaced.
A new oil cooler had to be ordered and shipped from overseas with an eight week wait delivery time estimate.
The long wait would have caused problems to the customer's operations so he inquired if we could help him solve the problem more quickly.
Our solution
We asked the customer to remove the damaged cooler and bring it into our shop so we could examine it.
When we received it we took measurements and provided the customer with an estimate of time and costs.
We would be able to re-build the oil cooler with the exact specifications as the one that was damaged in only about one week at about half the cost that was originally quoted by the other supplier.
We were able to take care of this customer in a timely manner at a lower cost.
